We plan to make the best use of technological advancements that are available. We use technology to help take the best possible care of our animals and save on labor. We do plan to have incremental herd growth in future years and possibly robotic milkers in the future.

What is your favorite job on the farm?

Taking care of the calves!

What are you most proud of?
We try very hard to maintain a good image for our fellow farmers, neighbors, and customers. We make sure the cattle and farm are always clean and well-maintained. We always want to portray a positive image of farmers for the community. That is something I learned at an early age from my grandfather.

Is there someone that has influenced you and your farm’s success?

I learned at an early age that your character was important. I also learned good animal husbandry principles from my father and grandfather. They always strived to have good relationships with their neighbors.

I have stayed in touch with several of my professors from UW-Madison after my college days. They have served as great resources over the years.

What is something you think is important for customers to know about your dairy farm?
We strive to take excellent care of our cows and calves. They are our number one priority. We are environmentally conscious and implement programs to maintain the land through various tillage, planting and nutrient management practices. Lastly, the quality and nutrition content of our product is unmatched.  Milk is one of the most nutritious, pure forms of food you can buy.
