Letter from Leadership

I have written several times about the need for Edge to align itself with organizations that can help leverage our agenda.
Recently, Edge was a sponsor of the Ag and Food Policy Summit held in Washington, D.C., along with other national agricultural groups. This conference was organized by Agri-Pulse, a premier agricultural news outlet covering all segments of farm policy, trade, sustainability, environmental and regulatory topics. Agri-Pulse reaches the entire agricultural community, but most importantly, policymakers and influencers.
Edge was delighted to have both our Board President Brody Stapel and Treasurer Mitch Davis speak at the summit. Their messages were spot on. What a great way for the voice of milk to be heard. One of the proudest moments for me was seeing our leadership in action. Building the right relationship with news agencies like Agri-Pulse is essential to getting the facts about Edge and our policies in the minds of our congressional leaders and administration officials.
Also, I want to congratulate Brody for his recent election as president of Edge. I see a lot of passion and energy in Brody, not to mention his desire to take Edge to the next level. There is no question that he will be an excellent leader for our cooperative and a refreshing voice for dairy.
